I am back in the swing of things with menu planning dinners, and am starting to think about planning breakfast and lunch as well. Since I am redoing the kitchen this winter as well, I thought it may be nice to include a menu board somewhere in the kitchen. I haven’t decided exactly how I am going to do this yet, but I have a lot of inspiration from the ideas I have found online.
This is a great idea using a magnetic white board to create your menu planner from Quick Start Homeschool.
This menu board by A Girl and A Glue Gun was my inspiration to try out and review Magnetic Primer. I am searching out 12×12 pieces of sheet metal so I can make one of these with a group of my girl friends one afternoon, but we may modify it to fit a cookie sheet instead.
This menu board from Controlling My Chaos takes advantage of the magnetic surface on the side of your refrigerator.
I also really like this menu planner from The Red Chair Blog. Amy used scrapbook paper to create her menu planner, and color coordinated her meal card magnets based on carbohydrate rich meals and protein rich meals so she could make sure she was getting a balanced diet.
