Acronyms & Definitions
As you have probably noticed, couponing and bargain shopping seems to have its own language. The following is a list of some of the most common acronyms and definitions.

| B&M | Brick & Mortar – a physical store |
| B1G1 or BOGO | Buy 1, Get 1 |
| Blinkie | Red Smart Source machines that are found in most stores |
| BOGO 50% | Buy 1, Get 1 50% Off |
| BTFE | Box Tops For Education |
| CAT | Catalina – Coupon printed at the time of purchase to be used in the future |
| Catalina | They are coupons that print out at the register after your sale is complete. It is a separate machine that is just for printing out coupons or dollars off. |
| CRT | Cash Register Tape |
| DND | Do Not Double |
| Double Coupons | Value of the coupon is doubled (ie. $.45 coupon = $.90 off) |
| ECB | Extra Care Bucks – Rewards you earn shopping at CVS |
| FAR | Free After Rebate |
| Free Item Coupons |
A coupon that allows you to get an item for free (often up to a certain dollar amount) |
| HBA | Health & Beauty Aids |
| IP | Internet Printed coupon |
| MFG | Manufacturer Coupon |
| MIR | Mail In Rebate |
| MM | Money Maker |
| NED | No Expiration Date |
| OOP | Out of Pocket – how much you actually pay |
| OYNO | On Your Next Order |
| Peelie | A coupon that you peel off the item you are purchasing & use right away |
| PG | Proctor & Gamble Insert |
| PP | Price Plus – Shop Rite |
| Q | Coupon |
| RP | RedPlum Insert |
| RR | Register Rewards – Rewards you earn shopping at Walgreens |
| SCR | Single Check Rebate – Rewards you earn shopping at Rite Aid |
| SS | Smart Source Insert |
| Stacking | Using a store coupon in conjunction with a manufacturer’s coupon (most stores allow this) |
| Tearpad | Coupon pads found in stores to promote products |
| TMF | Try Me Free |
| Triple Coupon | Value of the coupon is tripled (ie. $.45 coupon = $1.35 off) |
| UPC | Universal Product Code |
| Wags | Walgreens |
| WYB | When You Buy |
| YMMV | Your mileage may vary – when talking about your particular store compared to another store |

How do you find out what items will generate a Catalina offer?
