{Groupon} Visit Longwood Gardens for Just $9

Longwood gardensLongwood Gardens is absolutely beautiful year round, and with today’s Groupon, you can go for just half price.  That’s just $9 for an adult admission.

No matter the season, there’s something to do at Longwood Gardens, such as scheduled OrKid Days visited by musical storytellers (February 18 and March 16) and Beyond the Garden Gates days, held twice a month, during which visitors learn what makes the arboretum possible from the mouths of the gardeners themselves. Exotic specimens in bloom within the greenhouse at the moment include the SVO Black Pearl, a nearly black hybrid orchid; the bright-orange aloe nyeriensis; and Mandela’s Gold, a sunshine-colored bird of paradise. Perusers may also stroll through the 4-acre Orchid Extravaganza exhibit, a daily event which showcases more than 5,000 orchids in different settings, forms, and artwork.

{Last Chance} Half Off Admission to the Crayola Experience

At the start of summer, we took the kiddos to the Crayola Experience in Easton, PA.  If you go expecting to see how crayons are made and getting a tour of a working factory, you are looking the wrong place.

There is one station where you can watch a demonstration of how crayons are made, but the remainder of the Crayola Experience is a wide variety of projects, all of which are included in your admission, that take you through out the entire facility.

The parking garage is less than a one block walk, and there is a McDonald’s on the main floor if you want to buy food there, or what most families do, brown bag it, and have lunch at the indoor or outdoor picnic areas.

The building is stroller friendly, has a wide variety of projects that are good for children of various ages, but in my opinion would be most enjoyed by children under 10yrs old.  My children are 3 & 4 and absolutely loved it.

We’ve been talking about going back since the projects are changed out monthly, and then today I saw this deal for half off admission!

You have to visit the Crayola Experience by 12/6, so if you have the space in your family’s calendar, you want to check this one out!
